Privacy Policy — Amber Tasbih

This Privacy Policy explains how the Amber Tasbih Android app (formerly “Tasbih Counter”) (package com.uzairalimurtaza.tasbih, "the app", "we"), published under the Forgeline developer brand, handles information. By using the app you agree to this policy.

1. 100% offline — nothing leaves your phone

Amber Tasbih is a free digital tasbih / dhikr counter that works entirely offline. This version (v1.0) contains no ads, no analytics, no account or login, and makes no network requests carrying user data. Everything you do in the app stays on your device.

2. Data stored only on your device

To do its job, the app saves the following locally on your device, in a local Hive database:

• Your tasbih counts and daily counting history
• Streaks
• Custom dhikr you add
• App settings (theme, targets, reminder preference)

This data is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. It is deleted when you uninstall the app, or at any time via the in-app "Reset all data" option.

3. We do not collect personal data

The app has no account, no sign-up, and no login. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, or location, and we collect no data at all. This matches the app's Google Play Data Safety declaration: "No data collected".

4. Advertising — none in this version

This version of Amber Tasbih shows no ads and includes no advertising SDK data collection. The Android Advertising ID permission is explicitly removed from the app.

If a future update introduces advertising, this policy will be updated before that release, with full disclosure of the data involved.

5. Permissions we request

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — optional and opt-in, used only for the daily dhikr reminder you can enable in Settings. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device; no notification data is sent anywhere. Deny or revoke it and the app works normally, just without reminders.
• Internet — the INTERNET permission exists in the app manifest, but this version (v1.0) makes no network requests carrying user data. The privacy policy link in Settings opens in your device's browser, outside the app.

6. Children

The app is rated for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. This version shows no advertising.

7. Data security & retention

Because we don't collect or store your data on any server, there is nothing for us to breach, sell, or retain. On-device data remains until you use the in-app "Reset all data" option, clear the app's data, or uninstall.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
